7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari

Your safari guide will be readily waiting for you at your hotel driving you through greatest Luwero triangle until to reach Nakasongola the only home to the rhinos in the wild in Uganda (Ziwa Rhino sanctuary) for a rhino tracking experience on foot. Amazingly you will get closer to these rhinos, giving you a perfect opportunity for photographs. Later in after noon proceed to Murchison Falls National Park Uganda’s largest conservation area. This park is one of the most interesting destinations to visit while in Uganda, well known for its wildlife, beautiful scenery and landscape. You will have a stopover at Masindi town for lunch break and then enter Murchison falls National Park for a sunset game drive as you later check in at Pakuba safari lodge. For dinner and an overnight stay (Full Board).

After having an early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will prepare for a game drive in the park in search for animals that reside here. Among the animals you should expect to meet include elephants, lions, giraffes and other different animal species.

In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge for lunch before proceeding for the bottom of the falls boat cruise where at the comfort of your boat, you will see different animal species such as the hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes at the water edges. Later you will proceed to the top of the falls hiking experience to the see the violent river Nile exploding violently and forming a very powerful water fall. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Pakuba safari Lodge (Full Board basis).

This day you will have an early breakfast and continue with your safari to south-western edge of Uganda, a home to the mountain gorillas with a lunch break en route. In the evening, you may carry out short community walk around the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi gorilla lodge.

After your breakfast and well equipped with your packed lunch, your guide will lead you to the park headquarters for briefing, orientation and meeting the rangers, you will then be separated into groups depending on the Gorilla family you are allocated to track. The rangers will lead you through the Gorilla paths in the thick Bwindi Impenetrable rain forests searching for Gorillas. During the Gorilla tracking experience, you may encounter other different animals and bird species. Once Gorillas have been tracked, you will be given one hour interaction, taking photos and videos of these giant and gentle apes before returning to the base station. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge.

Golden monkyes are only found in the Virunga volcanoes shared between Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo. Today you will leave your lodge after an early breakfast and you driver guide will transfer you to the briefing point where the golden monkey trekking starts. You will be briefed with information on what to expect while in the park as you search for the golden monkeys. After the short belief, you will start your hike up in search of the golden monkey you are encouraged to take with you a porter because the hike can be steep in some areas and they will be helpful.

You will be joined by enforcement officers to help in case you meet the wild buffaloes and Elephants which can be dangerous. The golden monkeys are generally more active than the gorillas and you will follow them as they move all over the place and feed. Just like gorilla trekking, you are allowed to spend 1 hour with the golden monkey before you start your descent back to the starting point and back to your lodge. After morning breakfast, you will prepare for departure. We shall stop at the Equator for picture-taking. Reach Kampala or Entebbe during the late afternoon and proceed to Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
